| The use of genetic enhancement could greatly increase the gap between “have's” and “have-not's” in the world. The gap may emerge initially between classes within a society. Then the social advantage that wealthy societies currently maintain could be converted into a genetic advantage. And the already wide gap between wealthy and poor nations could widen further and further with each generation until all common heritage is gone.
